About The Author
Tatiana Harris-Metayer is a millennial entirely devoted to her relationship with God, as well as encouraging and strengthening others by sharing her faithful testimony. Tatiana is a native to South Florida, born in Miami in 1993, and raised in Broward County. So, she has spent a great deal of time in North Atlantic Ocean waters over the years. One Sunday afternoon, on September 10th, 2006, Tatiana was baptized into Christ for the forgiveness of her sins at the age of thirteen years old at Dania Beach. Since then she has remained a faithful disciple striving to live a life worthy of the gospel.
Tatiana's writing journey started while as a young single christian woman keeping journal entries and heartfelt prayer lists. Upon completing her first book Gone Swimming while as a married woman, the process of discovering what walking out her God given purpose would look like is fully illuminated within the pages of her novel. Tatiana's helpful guide to embracing singleness and achieving adulthood in Christ unveils her heart toward living life out as a devoted single christian woman.

In Gainesville Florida, on May 5th 2015, Tatiana graduated from the University of Florida with her Bachelor's Degree in Family Youth and Community Sciences. She also received her minor in Education and Undergraduate Certification in Family Life Education from UF.
Upon graduating, Tatiana then returned home to her roots in South Florida. While actively serving as a member in the Broward Church, Tatiana studied the bible with others, helped out with the teen ministry, and then went on to obtain her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.
In Davie Florida, on July 31st, 2018, Tatiana received her Master's Degree and successfully graduated from Nova Southeastern University with honors and in the top 10% of her cohort. Tatiana was accepted into the Marriage and Family Therapy Doctor of Philosophy program at Nova Southeastern University in the year 2018 and continues to pursue her doctorate in Couple and Family Therapy present day, 2026.
Currently, Tatiana has successfully completed all of her academic coursework at NSU, as well as her clinical and supervision hours required for graduation. Tatiana will be completing her Couple and Family Therapy Doctoral Degree this Fall, 2026. Tatiana Harris-Metayer is also currently an active licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Florida. At this time, Tatiana is not working in the field as an LMFT and has taken an intentional professional pause/time off (of her own accord) in this area of her life since Fall, 2023. Tatiana has passionate plans to revisit working in her chosen field of Marriage and Family Therapy at a later time. Currently however, Tatiana is continuing to prioritize graduating from her Ph.D. program at NSU and expanding her successfully established career as a published author.

Tatiana remains a devoted Christian woman to this day. She is a loving wife to her dear husband, Ricardo Metayer, and is a nurturing mother to their first child. Tatiana is an incredible daughter toward her parents and in-laws, a caring sister among her biological and church family, and a supportive friend to many. Tatiana is currently enjoying the process of completing the sequel to her first book, called Gone Sailing: A Guide to Overcoming Life's Storms and Delighting in a Christ Centered Marriage. In addition, Tatiana has recently initiated the beginning stages of the third part to the Gone Series Trilogy, Gone Schooling (an upcoming parenting guide).
Tatiana has also completed writing her first two children's books, The Path Toward Change and The Glowing Truth. Expected publication/release dates to be announced. So, stay tuned for what is in store for this lady author's ever evolving writing journey!

Planted By The Streams (PBTS, Est. 2020) is inspired by Tatiana's desire to help others enrich their relationship with God by redirecting focus toward the scriptures. Planted By The Streams serves as the platform for her books, guides, novels, and academic consulting program, Scholarpillars (Est. 2016).
